Franklin Branch manages strategic communications for the Office of the Provost, triages incoming correspondence, liaises with leadership offices across the university, and provides operational support. In addition, Mr. Branch supports special projects, including staffing searches for open positions that report to the Provost.
Prior to joining Johns Hopkins in December 2014, Mr. Branch served as a Senior Analyst for Governor Martin O’Malley in the Governor’s StateStat Office. In that positon he was responsible for writing briefing memos to the Governor and his executive team in preparation for monthly meetings with state agencies, as well as analyzing performance metrics data to help state agencies track progress towards strategic goals.
Mr. Branch previously worked as a Research Associate for the Board on Health Sciences Policy at the Institute of Medicine (IOM) of the National Academies. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and earned his J.D. from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in 2012.
