Our Inspiration

We create an integrative learning journey that inspires all learners to make their most audacious moves and achieve their life aspirations regardless of background or social capital.

We are committed to equity, guided by data, focused on outcomes, powered by innovation, and driven by our care for people.

Our Story

In 2018, Dr. Farouk Dey, the founding Vice Provost for Integrative Learning and Life Design, joined Johns Hopkins University to create and lead a division of 15 departments and centers that orchestrate programs and services that bridge curricular and experiential learning with personal ambitions and mentoring for all undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and alumni across the university’s nine schools.

Imagine Center

Imagine Center is the physical manifestation of our philosophy of integrative learning and life design journeys at Johns Hopkins University. Regardless of their background or social capital and what their dreams and aspirations are, students can engage with one other, alums, employers, faculty, staff, and life design educators to create moments of inspiration and opportunities for meaningful experiential learning and mentoring to turn their curiosities into their most fantastic audacious moves.
