2019 Johns Hopkins and American Association of Universities (AAU) Campus Climate Survey

In Spring 2019, Johns Hopkins participated as one of 33 schools in the 2019 AAU Campus Climate Survey on Sexual Assault and Misconduct, a quantitative survey of students’ experiences of sexual misconduct and campus climate. This survey follows two previous student surveys that were designed, administered, and summarized by JHU faculty and staff in 2015 and 2018.

The survey was organized by AAU and conducted by Westat. As part of their responsibilities for the analysis of the AAU survey, Westat prepared two reports:

  • An aggregate report using data from 181,752 students at 33 colleges and universities.
  • A report specific to Johns Hopkins using the data from 4,084 student participants.

Below are links to the reports as well as a cover letter from Provost Kumar introducing the Johns Hopkins report.
