Jennifer Barmon, JD joined OIE in May 2025 as the Assistant Vice Provost and Title VI Coordinator. Before joining the university, Jennifer served for five years as a Supervising Attorney in the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights (OCR), where she led a team of investigators in enforcing federal civil rights laws in schools and universities through the investigation and resolution of complaints alleging discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Prior to her supervisory role, she worked as an OCR attorney conducting investigations and mediating civil rights complaints. Earlier in her career, Jennifer worked at the Maryland Office of the Public Defender, representing youth in education and juvenile court proceedings. She earned her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and her law degree from Northeastern University School of Law.
