Laura Arthur

Director of Career Lab, School of Nursing

As Director of Career Lab at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, Laura Arthur developed a comprehensive career services process for Masters and Doctoral level nursing students and alumni. During her five-year tenure at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, she led major initiatives including career orientation, a professional development course, an alumni mentoring program, and the annual career fair. Laura’s career services experience spans functions including career coaching, large-scale program and event management, resource development, employer engagement, and outcomes assessment.

Laura is a Certified University Career Coach through The Academies, and is a trained administrator of CareerLeader, iStart Strong, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, and StrengthsFinder. She earned a B.S. in Psychology from Xavier University, a M.A. in Higher Education from The Ohio State University, and an Executive Certificate in Business/Corporate Communication from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. Laura has served on the Board of Directors of the MBA Career Services and Employer Alliance as well as the Maryland College Personnel Association.
