Lona Thomas

Executive Assistant to the Provost and Office Manager

Lona has more than 15 years of administrative experience with positions in both higher education and the private sector. She came to Hopkins from Loyola University where she had worked since 2009 as an Executive Assistant and Secretary to Governance, supporting multiple executives, governance bodies, and standing committees. She has also served as an Office Manager in several organizations, including the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (NACA) in Baltimore City.

In her role as Executive Assistant and Office Manager, Lona manages Provost Jayawardhana’s schedule, prepares him for key meetings, coordinates events, and assists with operations management in the Office of the Provost.
