Michael McKenzie

Assistant Dean for Global Careers, SAIS

Michael McKenzie develops the vision, strategy, and plan for enhancing professional development, career advancement, alumni connection, employer engagement, mentoring opportunities, and outcomes for all SAIS students and alumni across the global network.

Having previously worked on the Career Services team at SAIS as senior associate director (2007-2012) and associate director (2004-2007), Michael returned to SAIS from his role as a senior consultant with Vantage Point Consulting, Inc., where he provided data strategy, analytics and business intelligence consulting services for higher education and workforce development clients, and led cross-functional teams with agile product and project management as well as workforce and higher education business development. Before Vantage Point Consulting, McKenzie served as managing director of career learning and experience at George Washington University’s Center for Career Services.

McKenzie received a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from the University of North Dakota, and two master’s degrees from the University of Denver: in Higher Education Administration, and in International & Intercultural Communication.
