As Senior Advisor, Natalie is responsible for partnering with and supporting the CRO to ensure high quality results across the University’s risk portfolio and to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the University’s institutional risk management (IRM) function.
Natalie Semon comes to her role as Senior Advisor to the Chief Risk Officer from the Bloomberg School of Public Health where she was a Research Associate in the Department of Environmental Health and Engineering, serving as Executive Director of the Center for Public Health Preparedness. There she worked with subject-matter experts to design, development, implement, and evaluate of a wide range of professional education and research activities focused on improving community resilience, as well as public health preparedness capacity, response and recovery. She worked to build and strengthen partnerships with external public health organizations, and directed the day-to-day operations and management of large, multi-year government grants and contracts.
Natalie holds a Master of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University.
