Between November 5 and 8, Johns Hopkins University will host the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) peer evaluation team who will appraise the university’s performance and adherence to the commission’s Standards for Accreditation and Requirement for Affiliation, referencing the Self-Study Report and drawing upon the insights they acquire from interviews during the visit. Evaluation team members and Team Chairs are volunteers who are selected from the academic community, preferably from among the MSCHE membership, to assist in ensuring the quality of higher education institutions and to help them improve.
Middle States Open Community Forum
On Monday, November 6, 4:30 PM – 5:15 PM, the peer evaluation team will host an open community forum. The forum is an opportunity for any member of the Johns Hopkins community to meet with the team to learn more about the role, purpose, and objectives of re-accreditation and to share individual experiences at Johns Hopkins. The forum will take place in person in the Homewood Imagine Center Summit Auditorium with a virtual webinar option.

Middle States Evaluation Team Readout
On Wednesday, November 8, at 10:15 AM the peer evaluation team will deliver its draft report and findings on the university’s adherence to the Standards for Accreditation and Requirements for Affiliation. The oral exit report will be open to Johns Hopkins University community members who choose to attend in-person in the Hodson Hall Boardroom or via Zoom webinar.
