Middle States Self-Study Progress

Update: 07/29/2022

Johns Hopkins University has completed an important first step in its re-accreditation efforts. On Wednesday, July 13th, the University’s self-study design was accepted by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). MSCHE’s acceptance of the design, an institution-developed document to guide the self-study process, serves as an endorsement of the institution’s planning and approach to-date. This comes following the successful virtual self-study planning visit to the campus, on June 16th, of Dr. Kushnood Haq, MSCHE’s VP liaison to the University.

In the following months, the self-study working groups will be gathering evidence of how the institution meets MSCHE’s seven standards of accreditation. A draft of the final report, composed by the executive committee co-chairs, will be available to the Johns Hopkins University community for comments in Spring 2023.
