Office of Academic Affairs

The mission of the Johns Hopkins University Office of Academic Affairs is to support the planning, review, approval, and operations of academic programs. Working closely with each of the nine schools and other university partners, the office sponsors initiatives, policies, procedures, and operations that ensure all Johns Hopkins programs, traditional and online, maintain rigorous and compliant standards of excellence while promoting innovation in teaching and learning.

Accreditation & Academic Compliance

The Johns Hopkins University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and is authorized by the Maryland Higher Education Commission.

Digital Initiatives

The Digital Initiatives effort facilitates collaboration, learning, and innovation across schools and units advancing Johns Hopkins online and digital education strategies and pursuits.

International Services

The Office of International Services (OIS) provides immigration, visa, and travel guidance to the Johns Hopkins University international community in every school.

Institutional and Learning Assessment

Assessment provides a framework to ensure that all of our Johns Hopkins programs maintain rigorous standards, meeting the high expectations of students and faculty alike.

University Registrar

The Office of the University Registrar (OUR) is responsible for the management of registration and the stewardship of academic records – past, present, and future.

The Office of Student Enrollment and Account Management (SEAM)

SEAM centralizes student services and enhances processes and systems in three areas: student accounts, registration, and financial aid.
