Danielle Simms is the Executive Assistant to Farouk Dey, Vice Provost for Integrative Learning and Life Design and Director of Operations. Danielle has been a member of the JHU community since 2010 with previous positions in the School of Nursing, the Peabody Conservatory, and the Homewood Life Design Lab. In her role on each campus, Danielle provided high-level organizational support to Executive Directors, managing the operating and gift budgets for both grant sponsored and non-sponsored offices as well as provided HR and financial assistance for staff and student employees.
Preceding her career in higher education Danielle aided in the policy and research efforts at the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF). Danielle earned her bachelor’s degree in European Studies & Political Sciences from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque and studied International Relations/Russian Language as a part of the Graduate Research Program at the University of Moscow.
