Taught by Henry Perry, MD, Department of International Health, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health
“I am a chartered accountant working in health policy and planning in Zimbabwe, i am currently working on a health financing policy, costing of the national health strategy and health sector resource mapping as well as health investment case.”

“Some of the issues i work with on a day to day are around cost efficiency and how to achieve greater value for each dollar in terms of lives saved and lives reached. Zimbabwe has selected the primary health care approach as its favored way of delivering health services. However this has not been clearly spelt out in implementation mechanisms and funding. The majority of health sector public budget goes towards a few central hospitals.”

“Taking the course has opened me up to various definitions and history of primary health which will help me influence discussions from an informed point. I also hope to be taking a masters in health economics soon hence the certificate will aid me in applications.”

Taught by George S. Everly, PhD, Department of International Health, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health
“Thank you, professor, your course was remarkably well constructed! I wish I had teachers like you in all my school life. For sure I would have understood more of their lessons. I am an empathetic person, so your course made me realize how can I approach people in order to help them in different situations. I live in Romania, I have a lot of people I know who were affected by the fire at Colective Club a year ago. I wish i was there knowing what I know now in order to help them. In stead, i was home, on Facebook, answering to our friends from all over Europe and Canada, and half of night I spent at the blood donation center. But now I feel prepared to face any disaster. Thank you! And I really hope to learn some more from you!”

This course gave us everything we could possibly need for these situations and more. My understanding of HTML, CSS and JS grew exponentially in only 5 weeks. I can’t thank you enough for this knowledge! Data Science Specialization Thank you for offering this wonderful course. It has been very helpful for me. I have learned a lot from the courses. I have been out of the workforce for the past 5 years raising kids, and this certification has definitely helped me in getting my first job. I am already using what I learned in the courses.”
