Stacey Mitchell | Career & Life Design Counselor | School of Education
Stacey Mitchell, PhD leads the Career and Life Design (CLD) office at the Johns Hopkins University School of Education (SOE). With expertise in life design and vast teaching experience – having worked as a K-12 teacher and college professor prior to her pivot into higher ed administration – Stacey brings energy, vision, and a knack for strategic collaboration to this role at SOE, one of the top education schools in the country.
Stacey joined Hopkins in 2023, serving initially as Life Design Educator for Students with International Perspectives at the Life Design Lab after teaching Spanish and world literature at Loyola University Maryland. A proud first-generation college graduate and life-long student, Stacey holds a PhD and MA in Spanish literature from Penn State, a MA in Spanish from Middlebury College, and a BA in Spanish and Adolescent Education from St. John Fisher College. She looks forward to helping SOE students live their best lives and plan for a meaningful future beyond Hopkins.
